Get cited by Gemini
Get your business into Gemini's answer.
Gemini is Google's assistant, and it answers questions about businesses the way you would expect Google to: grounded in Google Search. When someone asks Gemini who to use for something, it searches, reads the pages Google already ranks and trusts, and writes a recommendation from them, citing the sources. The same machinery sits behind AI Overviews and AI Mode in Google Search itself.
SEO Stuff gets businesses into those answers by doing the two things Gemini rewards: pages that rank and read plainly, and corroboration from sites Google trusts. Every order starts with a baseline that shows what Gemini says about you today.
How Gemini decides who to cite
Gemini grounds its answers in Google Search (as of October 2026): it issues searches, reads the top results, and composes an answer with citations back to them. That makes it the assistant most tied to classic SEO. A page that ranks well for the question is likely to be read; a page that does not rank is unlikely to be, however good it is.
Ranking is necessary but not sufficient. Among the pages it reads, Gemini quotes the ones that answer the question directly and consistently: a clear statement of what the business does, who it is for and what it costs, and agreement between that page and other sources. It is also sensitive to freshness in categories where things change, and it leans on the kinds of pages Google already treats as authoritative for the category: established publications, review sites, and well-maintained company pages.
Because Gemini, AI Overviews and AI Mode share an index, work that moves one tends to move the others. The healthcare client in our case studies went from 186 to 9,400 Google AI Overview citations with the same pages and placements that lifted its other numbers.
What that means for your pages
- Rank for the sub-questions: Gemini and AI Mode break a question into several searches, so cover the specific versions, not only the head term
- Put the answer at the top of the page, in plain language, with the facts a machine can lift
- Keep facts identical across your site, your listings and the sites that mention you; Gemini corroborates before it recommends
- Keep commercial pages current: pricing, availability, dates
- Earn mentions on the publications and review sites Google already ranks for your category
- Use clear structure (headings, FAQs, tables) so the relevant passage is easy to extract

Questions people ask
Is Gemini the same as AI Overviews?
They are different products on the same foundation. Gemini is the standalone assistant; AI Overviews and AI Mode are the AI answers inside Google Search. All three ground themselves in Google's index, so the work overlaps almost entirely.
We rank on page one. Why does Gemini not mention us?
Because ranking gets you read, not quoted. Gemini quotes the page that states the answer plainly and agrees with other sources. If your page-one result is a brochure, the quote goes to a competitor's comparison page or a review site.
Do we need to do anything for Google's crawler?
Gemini uses what Google has already indexed, so if Google can crawl and render your pages, Gemini can read them. The audit checks indexing and rendering as part of the technical review.
How do we know it worked?
Every Done-For-You order starts with a baseline: twenty real buyer questions for your category asked of ChatGPT, Gemini, Perplexity and Claude, with web search on, and the answers shown on your dashboard with who each assistant recommended instead of you. Each deliverable is ticked off as it lands. For weekly checks after delivery, the same team runs Rightcited.
How long before the citations show up?
The package is delivered in 21 business days (strategy guide within 7). Assistants pick up new pages and placements over the following weeks, and most clients see meaningful movement in the 60 to 90 days after delivery.
