Get your products into AI shopping
Get your products into the answer when a shopper asks an AI what to buy.
Ask ChatGPT for a standing desk under $400, Perplexity for a running shoe for flat feet, or Google's AI Mode for a stroller that fits in a small car, and you no longer get a list of links. You get a short set of products, with prices, review summaries and a reason each one was picked, and in some cases a button to buy without leaving the conversation. The products in that set were chosen from merchant feeds, reviews and the pages that describe them. Stores that are not in those sources are not in the set.
SEO Stuff gets a store's products into the sources the assistants choose from: the feeds that list them, the buying guides and category pages that explain them, and the reviews and placements that vouch for them. One fixed price, delivered in 21 business days, with the assistants' answers recorded before and after.
How the assistants choose products (as of October 2026)
ChatGPT's own help pages say product results are selected independently and are not ads, and that the model weighs structured metadata from first-party and third-party providers (price, descriptions, availability), reviews it summarizes from public websites, and the fit with what you asked. Merchants are ranked on availability, price, quality and whether they are the maker or primary seller. Stores on Shopify are already in ChatGPT's catalog; other merchants apply for a direct product feed, and eligible merchants can offer Instant Checkout inside the chat.
Perplexity's shopping cards are described by Perplexity as unsponsored recommendations, drawn from product data that merchants submit through its free Merchant Program and from Shopify stores that ship to the US, with one-click checkout for some products. Google's AI Mode and AI Overviews draw on the same Merchant Center product data as Google Shopping, and Google is adding share-of-voice and attribute-completeness reports to Merchant Center so stores can see how their products appear in AI results and which product attributes are missing.
Three things follow. The feed gets a product listed; it does not get it recommended. The recommendation comes from the content around the product: the buying guide that explains who it is for, the comparison that names its trade-offs, the review on a site the assistant trusts. And the product page itself has to state the facts the assistant checks (price, availability, shipping, specifications, returns) in plain text, because a page that hides them behind a script or an image loses to one that does not.
What we do for a store
- A baseline on day one: twenty product questions shoppers in your category ask ChatGPT, Gemini, Perplexity and Claude, with which products and stores each one recommended
- A feed check in the audit: whether your products are reaching ChatGPT (Shopify catalog or a direct feed), Google Merchant Center and Perplexity's Merchant Program, and what is missing from the listings, with the fixes in the strategy guide
- Buying guides and comparison pages for the questions shoppers ask, written the way assistants quote them: who each product is for, the trade-offs, current prices
- Category and product page copy that states price, availability, shipping, specifications and returns in plain text an assistant can read
- 3 DR50+ placements on the review sites and publications the assistants cite for your category, so your products have an independent voice behind them
- An after-report with the same twenty questions, so you can see which products moved into the answers
What it costs and how long it takes
The Done-For-You Package is $999 one-time: audit and strategy guide within 7 business days, then 10 pages and 3 DR50+ placements within 21. Nothing renews. Stores with large catalogs that need volume add the Premium Content Bundle, 60 articles for $899. Setting up the feeds themselves (Merchant Center, a ChatGPT feed application, Perplexity's program) is free and mostly self-serve; the strategy guide walks through each one.

Questions people ask
Is ChatGPT shopping pay-to-play?
Not according to OpenAI. Its help pages state that product results are selected independently by ChatGPT and are not ads, and that ads are separate from product results. Perplexity says the same of its shopping cards. Checked October 2026; both companies run or have announced advertising, so this is worth re-reading periodically.
Do we need to be on Shopify?
No. Shopify stores have their product data integrated into ChatGPT and Perplexity automatically, which is convenient, but any store can apply for a direct ChatGPT product feed, list in Google Merchant Center, and join Perplexity's Merchant Program. The audit checks which of these you are in and the strategy guide covers the rest.
What is Instant Checkout?
A ChatGPT feature that lets a shopper buy an eligible product inside the conversation instead of clicking through to the store. OpenAI offers it to eligible merchants and products; being in the catalog comes first, and most stores are better served by being recommended than by the checkout button itself.
How does an assistant pick between two similar products?
Price, availability, reviews and how plainly the product is described all count, and so does what independent sites say. In our baselines the product that gets picked is usually the one with a current review on a site the assistant trusts and a product page that states the facts in text. The feed alone rarely decides it.
Does this replace Google Shopping ads?
No. Shopping ads buy placement in Google's ad slots; this work earns placement in the organic product sets that ChatGPT, Perplexity and AI Mode compose. Stores usually run both, and the product data work helps both.
How do we know it worked?
Every Done-For-You order starts with a baseline: twenty real buyer questions for your category asked of ChatGPT, Gemini, Perplexity and Claude, with web search on, and the answers shown on your dashboard with who each assistant recommended instead of you. Each deliverable is ticked off as it lands. For weekly checks after delivery, the same team runs Rightcited.
How long before the citations show up?
The package is delivered in 21 business days (strategy guide within 7). Assistants pick up new pages and placements over the following weeks, and most clients see meaningful movement in the 60 to 90 days after delivery.
